Principal Engineer, Exeter
Workload in the CGL Exeter office has been steadily increasing and we are now in a position where we need to strengthen this established team with an enthusiastic and dynamic Principal Engineer Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental who is looking to develop their skills and career.
The successful candidate will have graduated with a degree in civil engineering or engineering geology and will have 5 –10 years’ relevant experience of working on geotechnical projects in the UK and be a Chartered Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers or appropriate professional body. You will also have an understanding of UK geology and some knowledge of UK construction practice and be looking to develop experience by taking on challenging projects and more responsibility. Knowledge of geoenvironmental engineering and its interaction with geotechnical design will be necessary and excellent report writing skills will be required. You will be expected to combine site work with the challenge of design work and analysis and project management in a dynamic office environment.
