CGL is an award-winning geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy, with seven offices and clients that include many of this country’s leading developers, contractors and associated professionals. We are currently seeking a Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental Engineer looking at developing their skills and experience to work at our office in Harrogate, on projects that vary in size and nature both in the North of England, Scotland and across the United Kingdom.
You will have graduated with a degree in engineering, geology or geoscience and a post-graduate degree in a geotechnical or geoenvironmental specialism will be preferable. You will have industry experience with an understanding of UK geology and basic knowledge of UK construction practice. You will be looking to develop experience by taking on challenging projects and more responsibility. Be self-driven, organised and familiar with various forms of site investigation techniques and a capable report writer who can or is looking to develop design aspects. A positive team player who can work remotely, and with initiative working closely with our clients and supply chain. Industry experience of relevant Health and Safety protocols and contract awareness would also be advantageous. This role would suit a candidate wishing to advance their early career and take on project responsibility and accountability.
