Yesterday, CGL talked ‘GeoCareers’ with students at Leeds University STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) Fair.
Joleen Harris, CGL Senior Engineer and Danny Ireland, a Placement Student from Leeds attended the fair to talk about careers at CGL, mainly with undergraduates and post graduate students from the Civil and Environmental Engineering department.
At CGL there are career opportunities for Graduates in Civil Engineering or Geology which include permanent roles as a Geotechnical or a Geoenvironmental Engineer at various levels. Temporary roles and internships are also available:
- Summer Placements
- Industrial Placements within a first degree
- MSc Placements using a CGL project for academic study
The team said, “We were very busy throughout the day, and attracted a lot of graduate level interest as well as second year students enquiring about placements over the summer and year in industry. Overall, it was a great opportunity for CGL to meet bright and enthusiastic engineering students”
