
CGL and its staff have been selected as finalists for three special awards by the organisers of the Ground Engineering 2018 Awards.
- CGL’s work to enable use of buttress piles for efficient deep basement construction in Battersea is shortlisted for the Award for Technical Excellence.
- Kirsty Poore, Chartered Senior Engineer is a finalist for the Rising Star award.
- CGL’s work for the deep basement at the Guildford Radisson Hotel is up for Project of the Decade.
This year saw a record number of companies enter the awards and Claire Smith, editor of Ground Engineering magazine commented:
“This year’s shortlist is a true showcase of the range and breadth of the projects undertaken by our industry each year. The standard of the work demonstrated in this year’s entries is outstanding and getting onto the shortlist is an achievement in itself.”
Before the awards, finalists will attend face-to-face judging by clients, contractors and consultants. The winners will be announced on 6th June at a ceremony in London.
