CGL has established its presence in the Republic of Ireland by opening a branch in Dublin with full geotechnical and geoenvironmental capability.
The office is being led by Principal Engineer Joseph Slattery, who has worked at CGL’s office in Godalming since 2012 and also supported the setup of the company’s London office.
Joseph, originally from Galway, has worked on some of the most complex ground engineering projects in London and UK – some of which have won top industry awards – and was a finalist for the Ground Engineering Rising Star Award in 2017.
Joseph has been influential in the implementation of advanced numerical 3D soil structure interaction software within CGL. He is looking forward to expanding the use of this technology in Ireland alongside the full spectrum of CGL’s geotechnical and geoenvironmental services. He also has very strong skills in foundation and basement design and analysis, ground movement assessments, earthworks, slope stability, temporary works and value engineering.
CGL already has established links with a number of local companies in Dublin with connections to the UK. Joseph’s geotechnical skills will enable him to support consultancies, contractors, developers and clients by providing pragmatic solutions to reduce costs, timescale or risks on construction projects.
