CGL is delighted to be welcoming Dr David Giles to CGL as our first Digital Imagery Consultant. Because of the advances in remote sensing technology this will be rapidly developing resource for our clients to potentially benefit from and indeed the interpretation of such data in developing geological ground models is David’s expertise.
David joins us from the University of Portsmouth where he built up both a national and international reputation in Engineering Geology over 28 years. Our clients will be able to draw on his wealth of experience and published research on geological and geotechnical hazards, glaciated and periglaciated terrains, risk analysis and assessment on a variety of ground based challenges that include those of landslides, slope instability and contaminated land.
David will also be a major contributor to CGL’s growing CPD provision and particularly our planned Breakfast Briefings starting in January and our concept for Tea & Technical Talks held on weekday late afternoons in the early Spring next year. If you want to be the first to hear more about these please email Katie Hatchley on: firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the notification list or keep an eye on our Upcoming Events page for our next scheduled events.
