CGL is currently tackling our longest-running overhead line energy project, based in the Kintyre Peninsula in Western Scotland (Crossaig Phase 4), which highlights the extreme access conditions faced by our engineering staff and drilling teams.

The site access Health and Safety conditions were audited by one of CGL’s senior management team to check compliance with documentation and to address welfare provision. Feedback from such audits feeds into our client’s KPI metrics, with proactive measures put in place to assist in maintaining safety and overall staff welfare. This visit has led to reviewing future access routes in advance using LIDAR data to better inform associated risks, so appropriate risk assessed mitigation can be implemented in a dynamic environment.
