CGL has recently undertaken ground investigation works at the slipway of Portsmouth lifeboat station to assist planning and design of works to extend the slipway.
The works comprised intrusive investigation and in-situ testing within the beach deposits to confirm bearing capacity, with coring and sampling of the existing concrete ramp to determine the existing structural detail, service life and deterioration.
