Vincenzo Germano has over 15 years’ experience of geotechnical engineering specialising in computational geomechanics and the application of numerical analysis. He is experienced in soil structure interaction problems including tunnelling, deep excavations, retaining structures and shallow and deep foundations. He is highly numerate with an in-depth experience in numerical analyses with particular reference to the application of the Finite Element method to the solution of geotechnical boundary value problems.
Before joining CGL Vincenzo worked on geotechnical characterisation and underground modelling, numerical analysis and geotechnical design for foundations, ports and maritime infrastructure, energy projects, slope stability as well as oil and gas infrastructure.
He has worked on projects involving soil structure interaction of deep foundations, excavations and retaining walls on existing tunnels, buildings and utilities including London Underground and Network Rail lines.
