Marianne is a Principal Environmental Scientist based at CGL’s Kent office, holds a PhD in Earth Sciences from the Royal Holloway University of London, is a Chartered Scientist with the Institute of Environmental Sciences (IES) and is a registered ‘Qualified Person‘ with CL:AIRE. Her projects typically encompass geoenvironmental investigation and contaminated land assessment and site remediation, with a particular focus on waste and reuse of materials.

Marianne has assisted clients with investigation and classification of novel waste streams, baseline environmental studies as well as design and scoping of complex derisking and remediation projects. While her background is on the environmental side of land condition, she often leads the scope and management of an array of interdisciplinary projects, including airports, highways and military environments.

Teamwork and communication are the keys to delivering a successful project and Marianne emphasises stakeholder engagement as a key component of the project management and delivery arc.

“Outside of working hours, you will find me on my allotment in a perpetual struggle with the local slug population, or enjoying a sunrise dip on the sea.”
